Twitter is never shying away from experimenting and innovating and this is the latest salvo from this social media giant.

Twitter has launched brand new application called #Music, which has been specifically designed for music lovers. With this application, Twitter users can now listen to the music which has been created/promoted by those whom they follow.

This is the latest attempt to entice and enchant music lovers.

There have been several initiatives in this regard. Last.fm is another success story in the music niche. This website basically analyses what a user listens to, and based on this data, they provide recommendations and suggestions to the user.In the year 2007, CBS purchased Last.fm for 140 million pounds.

Twitter’s #Music would only be available in selected countries as of now, which are: USA, UK, Ireland, Australia and Canada.
